This Department enforces all codes and regulations regarding zoning, makes sure everything is constructed or operating in the proper zoning district, insure the junk car and property maintenance upkeep is dealt with in the proper way according to the city rules and regulations; supervises and keep records on all permits, zoning, and individuals who are in violation or compliance of the junk car/property maintenance ordinance. It supervises the building inspector, making sure all inspections are done in a timely and proper manner; handles all flood plain applications and insures all rules and regulations are met according to the city flood plain ordinance; able to work well with the public and issues and renew privilege licenses to operate within the City along with collecting delinquent licenses.
